Buying Assistant

We are seeking a Buying Assistant to join our friendly head office team in Macclesfield.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all supplier trade agreements, price files and case sale data is accurate and up to date.
- Liaise with suppliers to plan and co-ordinate monthly product promotions.
- Support the buying team with tenders by managing volume returns from our nine members.
- Liaise with our members to collate product shortage reports and monitor supplier performance.
- Provide admin support for all own brand product launches
- Manage and deliver our three supplier presentation days every year, liaising with venue, suppliers and members to ensure a smooth run event.
Qualifications/ Skills:
- Confident communicator
- Highly organised
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Good analytical skills
- Strong commercial awareness
- Experience of event management would be an advantage
