Buying Assistant

We are seeking a Buying Assistant to join our friendly head office team in Macclesfield.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all supplier trade agreements, price files and case sale data is accurate and up to date.
  • Liaise with suppliers to plan and co-ordinate monthly product promotions.
  • Support the buying team with tenders by managing volume returns from our nine members.
  • Liaise with our members to collate product shortage reports and monitor supplier performance.
  • Provide admin support for all own brand product launches
  • Manage and deliver our three supplier presentation days every year, liaising with venue, suppliers and members to ensure a smooth run event.

Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Confident communicator
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Experience of event management would be an advantage
